Peça "Consentimento?"/ Piece "Consentimento?"

Nesta peça, o design surge como ferramenta de crítica social, questionando os rituais
contemporâneos dos atos do comer e do prazer à mesa. Trata-se de uma bandeja,
formada por bananas — uma alusão lúdica e ambígua ao ato de comer e ao símbolo
fálico.

Contudo, é nas bordas que o desconforto se instala: palitos de cerâmica pontiagudos
emergem agressivamente, rompendo com a harmonia esperada do objeto. A peça
convida o espectador a refletir sobre o consumo como ato de poder, sobre o corpo como território simbólico e sobre os limites entre desejo, prazer e invasão.

Esta peça propõe uma nova leitura da experiência de comer: não apenas como nutrição ou prazer, mas como gesto social e político. Até que ponto os nossos gestos quotidianos reproduzem estruturas de poder invisíveis? Que lugar ocupa o corpo — e o outro — na forma como comemos, partilhamos e desenhamos objetos?

In this piece, the design emerges as a tool for social criticism, questioning the
contemporary rituals of eating and pleasure at the table. It's a tray made up of bananas - a playful and ambiguous reference to the act of eating and the phallic symbol.

However, it is at the edges that discomfort sets in: pointed ceramic sticks emerge
aggressively, breaking with the expected harmony of the object. The piece invites the
viewer to reflect on consumption as an act of power, on the body as symbolic territory
and on the boundaries between desire, pleasure and invasion.

This piece proposes a new reading of the experience of eating: not just as nutrition or
pleasure, but as a social and political gesture. How far our everyday gestures reproduce invisible power structures? Which place does the body - and the other - occupy in the way we eat, share and design objects?
